Apple iBook G4 12 inch laptop review
- by ConsumerGuide
Apple's iBook G4 notebook computers are aiming for a chunk of the laptop PC market. While you won't get the same specs on the iBook G4 12-inch as on a comparable PC, you do get Apple's excellent design and a pretty good machine that's priced close to a grand.

Compaq Presario M2000Z Reviewed - Rated Very Good
- by pcworld
Above-average audio highlights the Compaq Presario M2000Z, a boxy AMD processor-based laptop that sells for just over $1300. Like most Compaq notebooks, the M2000Z's case colors are the ubiquitous black and silver, but its unusual grooved base looks cool and gives it extra traction. Well equipped for its price, the M2000Z conveniently places a fixed double-layer DVD burner, a seven-in-one card reader, and two of its three USB ports on the right side of the case. Front audio jacks make plugging in headphones a snap.

Compaq Presario V2000 Review - Rated Best Buy
- by pcworld
If you're considering a wide-screen laptop for travel, the Compaq Presario V2000 belongs at the top of your list. At just 6.1 pounds (not including the AC adapter), this compact unit is easier to carry than many competing wide-screen notebooks. Its 14.1-inch BrightView screen, an inch shorter than a standard 14.1-inch screen, should clear an airline seat back much more easily.
